Christmas Con time

12/1/2019

Heyooo So it's Christmas Con time!!!!! So I'm going to be making this one short since we apparently have a little time to be sharing our experiences this past week :)

To keep it short and simple, We were blasted by a lot of rain and not joking... Only in our area... Every day... which has caused a lot of flooding in the fields and a lot of people in our area super stressed and worried because all their rice is being destroyed... So we had a really hard time teaching people, Finding new people, and so on. However even though it was literally raining more than when we were hit by 2 different Typhoons the week before, We still were totally fine just going out teaching and finding 10 hours every single day regardless and got really good at just talking to people even if they absolutely don't want to talk to us just to start small talk to help them realize that we are humans too because it breaks down like 2103857206240 barriers of doubt and pride and stereotypes that people have about us hahahaha everyone has their time that's for sure..

Fun story time

We had this one OYM (open your mouth or just... Ya know... conversation/new person we got to know and be friends with) who was like "ayyy Joseph Smith kayo mga mormon kayo?" tapos sabi ko lang "di eh... kita mo (pinakita ko ang nametage) 'JESUS CHRIST' diba??? Mga missionary kami ng Simbahan ni JESUS CHRIST" tapos si tatay santos sabi nya, "aye baptist ba kayo?"

It was a long conversation afterwards to help them understand that we believe in Jesus Christ but I told them that his family could be a forever family and his interest changed like 184.7 degrees towards heaven. However we only needed a 180 turn in his attention for him to become a new investigator because he shot a little too far and then basically said to not come back.

Favorite person ever :)
Why?

Because he literally just told us no and said we shouldn't come back!!! Almost no one here does that even when they are not interested!!! I was super happy to know I don't need to go back to that house and they told me not to instead of having false hopes and then going back to have my precious time here in the Philippines wasted by them just having us come over since were foreigners and then not actually listening to us or caring.

That's all folks. Keep on keeping on with some time to remember who Jesus is and what he did for you. Lab ya mga bes <3

for those wondering about the second picture, our area got some big landslides underneath the pavement and surprisingly is still standing up... they didn't close the road down though and literally just have a plan to push the dirt back up and cement it a bit more...

Here's pictures!
